Lead Service Line Replacement Law

From the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection

To reduce the potential risks from lead in drinking water,New Jersey enacted the Lead Service Line Replacement Law in July of 2021 (P.L. 2021 Chapter 183) that requires drinking water systems to inventory service lines, notify residents of potential presence of lead in their service lines, and plan for replacement of all lead service lines within 10 years.

Flushing tap water is a simple and inexpensive measure you can take to protect your family's health from lead.
